What is included in an Eden Luca private cruise?

Every 3-, 4- and 6-hour private cruise includes your own captain and first mate; selected premium alcoholic bottles (the number depends on your group size); Coca-Cola, Coke Zero, Sprite, club soda, ginger ale, cranberry, orange and pineapple juice, ice and bottled water throughout the cruise; a freshly prepared charcuterie platter with meats, cheeses, nuts and a touch of fresh fruit, sized to your group; beach towels; and life vests and snorkel gear for adults and children.

Which yacht should I choose: Eden Luca Blue or Eden Luca Red?

Accepted Answer

Both yachts host up to 12 guests at the same price, with the same premium service and inclusions; the difference is the layout and atmosphere. Eden Luca Blue (Carver 450) combines indoor and outdoor spaces, with an air-conditioned salon on the main deck, a lovely choice for families with young children, guests who like easy access to air conditioning and anyone sensitive to motion. Eden Luca Red (Sport Cruiser 440) has a spacious open-deck layout with views from bow to stern, ideal for a social, open-air day spent mostly outdoors, with an air-conditioned cabin below deck. You choose your yacht during online booking; if a yacht is not shown for your date and time, it is not available.

Question 3

How do I book and secure my date?

Accepted Answer

Select your date, yacht, departure time, duration, number of guests (including babies and children) and any upgrades in our online booking system, review the full cost breakdown and pay the 25% deposit. Payment runs securely through PayPal and no PayPal account is needed: simply choose the credit card option to pay as a guest. Your reservation is confirmed only once the deposit has been received; an inquiry or email exchange does not hold a date. You will then receive a PayPal payment confirmation and your Eden Luca Booking Confirmation Email.

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

14 or more days before departure: full refund. 7 to 13 days before departure: 50% refund. Within 6 days of departure or a no-show: no refund. If Eden Luca Yachts cancels your charter, you receive a full refund. Travel disruptions such as flight delays or cancellations do not change this policy. Guest numbers can be adjusted up to 10 days before departure; after the final boarding instructions are sent, reductions and cancelled upgrades are non-refundable.

Where do we board, and when should we arrive?

Every cruise departs from Bucuti Yacht Club Harbor, Bucutiweg 31, just south of Queen Beatrix International Airport. The harbor sits immediately to the left of Varadero Aruba Marina & Boatyard and has its own entrance; look for the blue-and-white Bucuti building with parking in front. Please arrive 15 minutes before your boarding time so the crew can complete the passenger list, waiver, remaining balance and security allowance. Departure times are strict, and time lost to a late arrival is deducted from your cruise. Your crew's contact details are included in your Final Cruise Email.

Question 6

How do we pay the remaining balance, and is there a security deposit?

Accepted Answer

The remaining balance is settled 15 minutes before boarding, as one payment for the whole group, by physical credit card, physical debit card or cash. Apple Pay, tap-to-pay and digital wallets are not accepted onboard, so please bring your physical card. Prefer to settle in advance? Contact us to request online payment; it must be completed at least 1 day before boarding. Separately, a refundable USD 250 cash security allowance is collected upon boarding and returned in cash at the end of your cruise, provided the yacht is left in good condition.

Question 7

Can children join the cruise?

Absolutely, families are very welcome. Every guest counts toward the maximum of 12 per yacht, including babies and infants. For safety and comfort, we welcome a maximum of 4 children under 10 years old per cruise, supervised by at least 2 adults, on either yacht. Parents and guardians supervise their children at all times, and life vests and snorkel gear for children are on board.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Accepted Answer

Aruba enjoys warm, generally stable weather year-round, and short rain showers, clouds or a personal preference not to sail do not qualify for cancellation or a refund. A charter is only cancelled in the rare case that official weather information, government or port authority warnings and the captain's professional judgement determine that conditions are unsafe, for example tropical storms, severe thunderstorms, high waves or strong winds. If we cancel for safety reasons you may choose a full refund or a new date, subject to availability. Full details are in our Booking Terms & Conditions.

Is crew gratuity included?

Accepted Answer

Gratuity is not included in the charter price and is entirely optional. If you enjoyed the service, a gratuity of 15–20% in cash is customary and greatly appreciated by your crew.

Question 10

How do we get to Bucuti Yacht Club Harbor?

Accepted Answer

We do not offer hotel, beach or restaurant pick-up, so please arrange your transport in advance. If you are taking a taxi, book it ahead through your hotel or Airbnb and allow at least 30 minutes of travel time. Driving yourself? Complimentary on-site parking is available. Once you arrive, simply call your captain or crew (contact details are in your Final Cruise Email) and they will welcome you and guide you to the yacht.

Question 11

How many guests can the yachts accommodate?

Accepted Answer

Each yacht hosts up to 12 guests in total, including babies and children. This limit is set by local regulations, our permit and insurance, and cannot be exceeded. For larger groups, you can book Eden Luca Blue and Eden Luca Red together for up to 24 guests; each yacht is booked separately online, subject to availability.

What is the difference between the 3-, 4- and 6-hour experiences?

Accepted Answer

The inclusions are the same on every experience; the difference is time on the water. The 3-hour cruise has one relaxing swim and snorkel stop built into the journey. The 4-hour cruise, our most booked option, and the 6-hour cruise allow a more relaxed pace, with extra time to swim, snorkel and float and the option of an onboard BBQ.

How far in advance should I book?

Accepted Answer

As early as possible, especially if you have a preferred yacht, date or departure time. Availability changes in real time and popular dates sell out quickly, and your date is only secured once the 25% deposit has been received. Planning something within the next 24 hours, when online booking has closed? Contact us on WhatsApp and we will check whether a yacht is still available.

Private yacht charter vs shared boat tour, what's the difference?

A private yacht charter means the entire vessel and crew are reserved for your group only. No strangers, no waiting for others to swim or snorkel. The music is yours, played through the onboard Bluetooth sound system, and your captain shapes the route around your preferences and the day's conditions. Shared tours pack 30+ strangers onto one boat with a fixed route.

Is there a captain and crew onboard?

Yes. Every Eden Luca experience includes a private captain and a dedicated first mate who ensure both safe navigation and a seamless onboard experience for your group, from the moment you step aboard until you return to shore. We do not offer bareboat or self-drive rentals.

Which upgrades can I add?

You can add Wi-Fi onboard, water scooters, the BIG Sunchill party float, a fresh fruit platter, a champagne selection (Moët & Chandon or Veuve Clicquot), a premium tequila selection (Clase Azul, Casamigos or Don Julio), a celebration cake (at least 48 hours ahead), birthday, bachelorette or Mr & Mrs decorations inside the cabin (at least 72 hours ahead), an onboard BBQ (4 hours or longer) and one of three VIP packages: the VIP Celebration Package (+$299 per yacht), the VIP Water Adventure Package (+$299) or the VIP Golden Escape Package (+$350). Every upgrade is shown with photos and prices during online booking; we are not able to arrange requests outside this selection.

Can we add an onboard BBQ?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on cruises of 4 hours or longer. The BBQ is freshly prepared onboard, with one menu chosen for the whole group and one portion per person. If different menus are selected, we prepare our USD 79 per person option with beef, chicken, shrimp and salmon in one portion. The available BBQ options and prices are shown during booking.

What water activities can we add?

Accepted Answer

Water scooters (underwater scooters), the BIG Sunchill party float, the VIP Water Adventure Package and the VIP Golden Escape Package (each with 2 underwater scooters) can be added during booking, subject to availability. We do not offer jet skis, and for safety guests enter the water only via the swim platform with crew approval.

Can you arrange birthdays, proposals and other celebrations?

Absolutely. Birthdays, proposals, anniversaries and other celebrations are among our favourite charters. Add the VIP Celebration Package, the VIP Golden Escape Package, a celebration cake or our decorations to any 3-, 4- or 6-hour cruise during online booking. Decorations are arranged inside the cabin by our professional decoration partner and must be selected at least 72 hours before departure, so the VIP Celebration Package is not available within 72 hours of departure. Cakes need at least 48 hours' notice.

What can we do during our charter?

Accepted Answer

Cruise along Aruba's coastline, swim, snorkel, float, relax on the sundeck, enjoy drinks and the charcuterie platter on deck, or simply stay anchored somewhere beautiful. Your captain and first mate take care of everything so your group can enjoy the day at its own pace.

Where can we go, and is the route fixed?

Accepted Answer

There is no fixed or guaranteed route. Your captain decides on the day, based on wind, currents, sea conditions, comfort and your preferences. We generally cruise one of two areas: the Arashi Beach coastline including Eagle Beach, Palm Beach, Malmok, Boca Catalina and the Antilla shipwreck area, or the southern coast from Oranjestad towards Mangel Halto and Savaneta. Specific destinations and snorkel spots cannot be guaranteed in advance.

Can we request a specific location?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you are welcome to share your preferred route, snorkel area or location with the captain before departure. The captain has final authority over the route and will decide what is possible based on the conditions and safety on the day, always aiming for the most enjoyable cruise for your group.

Can we snorkel during the charter?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every cruise includes relaxing swim and snorkel stops, and snorkel gear and life vests for adults and children are on board. Snorkeling is completely optional: swim, float, lounge on the sundeck or simply enjoy a drink.

Is there a toilet onboard?

Yes, both Eden Luca yachts have a guest toilet and an outdoor shower.

Is Eden Luca suitable for families with children?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The yacht is private, so the only people on board are your own group and the crew. Both yachts have shade and air conditioning; on Eden Luca Blue the air-conditioned salon is right on the main deck, which many families love. Life vests and snorkel gear for children are on board. A maximum of 4 children under 10 can join, supervised by at least 2 adults, and every guest, including babies, counts toward the maximum of 12.

Do we need to be strong swimmers?

No. Nobody has to enter the water. You are welcome to stay on board the whole cruise, and life vests for adults and children are available. The BIG Sunchill party float can also be added during booking.

Is there air conditioning onboard?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on both yachts. On Eden Luca Blue the air-conditioned salon is on the main deck; on Eden Luca Red the air-conditioned cabin is below deck, a cool retreat between swim and snorkel stops.
